Since neural networks and various AI application models are at the peak of popularity, solutions based on them are selling well. Therefore, manufacturers are trying to implement AI even in places where it has no place. The situation is aggravated by the fact that AI technology is still very raw, extremely resource-intensive and frankly unreliable. However, the same is said about the “smart home” – there are more than enough complaints about incorrect operation of various devices.
GE Appliances wants to add AI to the system that analyses the contents of the refrigerator and makes recipes based on it. And Miele has announced the creation of AI for cookers and ovens that will monitor the cooking process and give advice. Both systems will require video cameras in the appliances – essentially, they will constantly monitor this aspect of the user’s life. And, of course, transmit the collected data to the Internet.
